USE OF EXTRACT FROM SAGE FOR PRODUCING DEODORANT PREPARATION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To use an extract from flowers and/or leaves of Salvia officinalis obtained by an extractive process using supercritical CO2 in order to produce a deodorant preparation having not only antiperspiratory effect but also selective bactericidal effect against bacteria which decompose sweat and form a bad smell. SOLUTION: In order to produce a deodorant preparation preferably in the form of deodorant sticks, the extract from flowers and/or leaves of Salvia officinalis obtained by an extractive process using supercritical CO2 preferably under conditions of a temperature of 40 deg.C or lower and a pressure of 90-300 bar is used. The content of the above extract in the above deodorant preparation is preferably 0.5-5 wt.%. The above extraction is usually carried out for 1-2 hours.
