PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motor controller controlling drive operation according to a specification of a motor when a barrier, etc., is driven using an extremely small motor, etc., by using a step motor as the extremely small motor and controlling the drive with the number of its drive pulses. SOLUTION: When a camera power on state is obtained by information of a shutter on/off switch 50, the control opening a lens barrier 20 is performed. At this time, since the step motor 10 is used as the motor, the matter that when the motor is operated for any pulses, the lens barrier 20 is opened fully after any seconds is discriminated beforehand. Then, whether or not the motor 10 becomes overload with this time operation even when continuous operation is performed to a certain extent is found beforehand, and a drive command is issued to a motor drive circuit 30. Thus, the small step motor 10 is used as the on/off motor of the lens barrier 20. That is, the motor is used efficiently while using the extremely small step motor 10 and fully exhibitting the performance of the motor. |
