PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide pattern paper which allows the sure and easy instruction of the coloration levels of designs at the time of coloration of the designs transferred onto the stock of pottery or porcelain and allows the easy transfer of the designs to the curved surface of the stock. SOLUTION: The pattern paper 1 is arranged in tight contact with the surface of the stock of pottery or porcelain to be transferred with the designs and the designs are transferred to the surface of the stock by tracing writing. After the tracing writing is ended, the pattern paper 1 is stripped and decoration is carried out according to the instructions, such as codes 0, 1, 3, 4 and 5, of the color level for coloration stated on the pattern paper 1 when the decoration is carried out by coloring the designs drawn on the stock. As a result, the sure and easy execution of the decoration of the assigned color levels on the stock is made possible. Transfer agents are applied on the rear surface of the pattern paper 1 and are transferred to the stock by the tracing writing of the designs, by which underglaze pictures are drawn.
