PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a knitting method for solving problem on knitting in yarn insert or yarn drawing of a knitting yarn in intersia knitting and saving cross-stitch operation after knitting of residual end of knitting yarn in exchange of knitting yarn for making stripe design by applying leaving technique of stitch loop. SOLUTION: When a knitting fabric having rib stitch structure is knitted by a flat knitting machine equipped with a combined needle comprising a needle body and a slider obtained by superposing two thin sheets, a step for leaving stitch loop containing knitting fabric side end of a rib stitch course from either one needle bed to the other needle bed needle, a step for passing through a yarn feed port across the left stitch loop and a step for transferring from the left stitch loop to original needle bed are carried out.
