PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an eraser without containing a plasticizer which dissolves plastic products, and an eraser case which does not generate a harmful gas or dioxin at the time of an incineration disposal. SOLUTION: This eraser case 1 is a resin extrusion-molded body, and on the front surface, side wall sections 3 and 4 are erected on right and left side end sections of a bottom section 2, and at the upper end portions of the right and left side wall sections 3 and 4, upper piece sections 5 and 6 which respectively face the confronted directions, are projected. This eraser 8 is an eraser for written characters, and is formed by blending, as a major component, an olefin based elastomer which is selected from a single substance or a mixture of a polyethylene based resin, a polypropylene based resin, and styrene butadiene based resin as major components.
