PURPOSE: A method for allocating and releasing resources in wireless local loop system is provided to make a system controller correctly recognize the point of time when a resource is released and thereby maintain a resource allocation state, and to allow each of protocol entities to monitor the state of each other. CONSTITUTION: In step(s1), the system controller transmits a state checking signal(SIGNAL_REQ) to a V5.2 entity. The entity transfers the state checking signal(SIGNAL_REQ) to a local exchange in step(s2). The local exchange sends a signal(DISCONNECT) to the entity in a step(s3). The entity sends a signal(DISC_IND) to the system controller so as to inform the dis connected state thereof in a step(s4). In step(s5), the entity inform the completely dis connected state thereof to the local exchange. The local exchange sends a signal(DEALLOCATION), for releasing a call, to the entity in step(s6). The entity sends a signal(DEALLOC_IND) to the system controller in step(s7). The system controller sends to the entity a signal(DEALLOC_COMP_REQ) for a complete release of a call in step(s8). The entity releases an allocated call and sends a signal(DEALLOC_COMP) to the local exchange.
