PURPOSE: A listening display sound generator of a communication device is provided to perform continuously a telephone conversation without a noise by transmitting selectively a listening display sound. CONSTITUTION: A listening display sound generator of a communication device comprises a switching portion, a display sound mixing portion, and a transmitting/receiving portion. The switching portion combines switching signals switched to a second switch. The display sound mixing portion outputs a display sound for displaying a listening state. The transmitting/receiving portion outputs a voice signal of an opponent, or transmits the listening display sound.
