PURPOSE: A PIP(Picture In Picture) processing apparatus is to display a PIP screen with a general program on home TV by using a high frequency modulator and automatically record a movement object on home VCR by using an infrared sensor. CONSTITUTION: A PIP processing apparatus comprises a key input unit(307). The key input unit includes a PIP processing key. A plurality of input ports receive a sensed picture signal, an infrared signal, and a voice signal by wire and wireless. A microprocessor(309) controls a record of the picture signal a PIP processing of the picture signal inputted through the signal input port by inputting the PIP processing key included in the key input unit. A PIP processing unit(312) processes the picture signal and the infrared signal inputted through the signal input port by a control of the microprocessor, PIP processes and outputs the processed picture signal and a broadcasting signal, and outputs the picture signal corresponding to the processed infrared signal. A plurality of signal output ports supply the PIP processed picture signal outputted from the PIP processing unit on a home TV(500) and record the picture signal corresponding to the infrared signal on a home VCR(400).
