PURPOSE: A double-headed internal combustion engine is provided by installing a cylinder head having a suction hole, a suction valve, a vent hole, a ventilation valve and a spark plug on the upper and lower parts of a piston block which a piston moves up and down therein. CONSTITUTION: A lift pushes a regulator(28) for regulating the interval of valves when a suction cam shaft(31) rotates at a first head part(3). A suction valve(26) descends and opens a suction hole(24) if the valve interval regulator compresses a spring(29) and descends. A ventilation valve closes a vent hole because a lift rotates upwardly. If the suction valve opens the suction hole, the mixed gas of gasoline and air flows into a first combustion chamber(10-1). Then a connecting rod(60) is in downward vertical state and descends a piston(11). Thereby the mixed gas is sucked easily. At a second head part(4), the suction valve keeps the suction hole in closed state by rebounding by a spring when a suction cam shaft(51) and a ventilation cam shaft(52) rotate. The lift part(52-1) of the ventilation cam shaft contacts to a valve interval regulator(48) moving forward by coming over the force of a spring(49) and opening a vent hole(45). Accordingly, the gas burned at a second combustion chamber(10-2) is discharged. Then a piston ring part(12) moving upward descends. Thereby the gas is discharged more promptly.
