PURPOSE: A device and a method for outputting a turbo image are provided to watch a turbo image of which contrast degree is strong compared to a general image by manipulating a specific key such as a remote control or changing data for changing the automatic beam current control characteristic of a program stored in a microcomputer in a TV set. CONSTITUTION: When a user tries to watch a turbo image of which a screen is brighter, and a contrast degree is stronger than the present image, a microcomputer(11) regulates the amount of an automatic beam current flowed in a beam current regulation unit by a manipulation signal of a specific key if the user manipulates the specific key such as a remote control(12). Then since a voltage fed to a level regulation unit(5) based on the regulated beam current is raised, and the output level of an R,G,B signal processed in a matrix unit(4) is increased and is fed to an R,G,B output unit(6), the turbo image having a bright screen or a strong contrast degree is displayed.
