PURPOSE: To register pocket beeper numbers and message information to a memory so as to call a pocket beeper automatically and to suppress the increase in the memory capacity in the case of sending message information. CONSTITUTION: A message number used to designate any of areas in which message information is stored is registered when a dial number is registered in the dial area of a memory 14. Then a pocket beeper is called by using the registered dial number to detect the reply of the pocket beeper, then a message corresponding to a message number is selected and sent to the pocket beeper. As a result, desired message information is sent automatically by only registering message number. Thus, the memory capacity is reduced more than that of a conventional telephone set registering message information itself. Furthermore, since an external line is open just after the message information is sent, the speech charge is reduced and the telephone set can replies immediately when the pocket beeper calls the telephone set based on the sent message information.
