ALL-OPTICAL DECORDER USING OPTICAL SWITCH AND WAVELENGTH CONVERTER

PURPOSE: An all-optical decorder using an optical switch and a wavelength converter is provided to reduce the number of optical switch by using the wavelength converter, thereby realizing a low-priced all-optical decoder. CONSTITUTION: A first optical switch takes over a detected light via a first output port and a second output port responding to a first input bit. A wavelength converter(WC11,WC20,WC21) converts the wavelength of the detected light took over via the first output port. A second optical switch takes over a detected light via a third output port and a fourth output port responding to a second input bit. An arrayed wave guide grating(AWG21) selectively outputs the wavelength of the detected light and the output wavelength of the wavelength converter by reversely multiplexing the output of the third output port.
