PURPOSE: A self conference creating method in a multi point control unit is to create a conference by itself without a client's conference creating request, thereby realizing all of the conference setting methods. CONSTITUTION: A self conference creating method comprises the steps of: allowing an MCU(Multipoint control unit) to request a GCC(General conference control) providing unit that a conference should be created; allowing the GCC providing unit to construct a profile about the conference, form a multi point conference region, access to the multi point conference region, and subscribe for a user identification number channel and a broadcasting channel; and allowing the GCC providing unit to inform the MCU of the creation of the conference. The GCC providing unit provides a conference creating function, a conference joining function, a conference inviting function, a conference query function, a conference disconnecting function, and a conference terminating function.
