PURPOSE: A device for gauging a wire rope is provided to use the wire rope used with installing in a gondola for an industry or a construction by exactly gauging with a certain length. CONSTITUTION: When a worker rotates a driving motor(70) by feeding a power through a control unit(100), a driving force of the driving motor(70) rotates a transferring roller(40) through a transferring device of driving(80). A wire rope(25) rolled in a bobbin(20) by the rotation of the transferring roller(40) is untied by grounding in a pressing roller(50) and the transferring roller(40). A detecting roller of detection(61) of a gauging portion(60) located upside the pressing roller(50) shows in a value through a meter(62) by detecting the rotated number of the pressing roller(50). Thereby the worker uses the value of the wire rope(25) untied in the bobbin(20) by gauging through the meter(62).
