PURPOSE: A circuit is provided to protect a motor by gradually isolating the motor when an overload protector performs the isolation mode by separating a single capacitor into two and installing the overload protector between the two. CONSTITUTION: An overload protector(22) acts to isolate the voltage inputted from a capacitor(C1) for a filter and to isolate the voltage fed to a capacitor(C2) for charging/discharging if the temperature of a compressor is excessively high or an excessive large amount of currents flow. The capacitor(C2) discharges the charged voltage to an inverter(23). The inverter slowly drives a motor(M) with the voltage discharged in the capacitor(C2), and then stops the motor if the voltage is discharged. Therefore, the motor is protected by slowly stopping the motor with the voltage charged in the capacitor(C2) even if the voltage is isolated by working the overload protector.
