PURPOSE: A cathode-ray tube is provided to acquire an optimal thickness of circumference of a panel, thereby minimizing a raster distortion of an electron beam due to strength and deflection of a shadow mask. CONSTITUTION: Outside face of a cathode-ray tube is flat. Inside face of the cathode-ray tube has a curve-ratio. Here, (Th - Tc) / (Td - Tc) is same or above 0.75, and same or below 0.85. The 'Th' is a thickness of a short side(14) which is cross to a horizontal axis(HI). The 'Tc' is a thickness of a center portion of a panel. Also, (Tv - Tc)/(Td - Tc) is same or above 0.75, and same or below 0.85. The 'Tv' is a thickness of a long side(12) which is cross to a vertical axis(VI).
