发明名称 Double stereo-microscope for surgical purposes
摘要
979,153. Double stereo-microscopes. CARL ZEISS-STIFTUNG, [trading as C. ZEISS [firm of]]. Feb. 26, 1962, No. 7316/62. Heading G2J. Two stereo-microscopes are symmetrically combined to form a double stereo-microscope, enabling for example, a surgeon and his assistant on opposite sides of an operating table to view simultaneously and stereoscopically the area of an operation. The ocular tubes of the two steromicroscopes are declined to each other at an acute angle to their common vertical symmetry plane and a symmetrical arrangement of reflectors between the objectives direct rays into the same. In a first embodiment (Figs. 1 and 2) rays from the object field are directed to an eye piece 11 of the left stereo-microscope by way of prisms 7 and 5, an objective 13 and a mirror 12. Corresponding elements are provided in the light path to an eye-piece 11<1> of the right stereo-microscope. Light from two lamps 14, 14<1> is directed to the objectives 13, 13<1> respectively for illumination purposes by condensers 15,15' prisms 16, 16<1> and prisms 17, 17<1>. The prisms 17, 17<1> have spherical exit surfaces. The lamps can be switched on and off individually. The whole assembly is mounted on a common carrier body 2 supported by an arm 1 which is adjustable vertically for coarse focusing and may also be swung sideways. Each stereo-microscope is provided with its own fine focusing means 3, 4 respectively. In a second embodiment (Fig. 4) light from the object field is directed to the respective objectives 27, 27<1> (which are here inclined) by way of reflecting surfaces 231 - 234 of a prism arrangement 23. Variable magnification is provided for by rotatable lens mounts 26, 26<1>. Pairs of porro prisms 25, 25' are interposed in the light paths to the eye pieces 24, 24<1>. Illumination devices comprising lamps 30 and 30<1>, condensers 31 and 31<1> and prisms 32, 32<1>, 28 and 28<1> are provided in a similar manner to before except that the said devices are here inclined. The carrier 19 is mounted by an adjustable arm 18 for course focusing and fine rack and pinion focusing knobs are provided at 29.
