PURPOSE: A remote firm name registration method for a yellow page service is provided so that clients can register firm names on a web site remotely using the network for yellow page service on the web. CONSTITUTION: A direct client registered in a web server system or an indirect client registered in a specific web site connects with the web server system through a network to request the registration of a firm name(302). A user inputs information for the registration of the firm name and selects the area and location of the firm name(304). The inputted firm registration information is transmitted to the web server system through the network(306). The web server system stores the firm name registration information received from the direct client or the specific web site to a stand-by data base(308). A surfer manager allocates work volume to each surfer automatically or arbitrarily(310).
