<p>PURPOSE:To improve a working property in regard to the assembly of an air bag lid serving as a blind job by supporting the air bag lid slidably in space between this air bag lid and a body side member while installing a guide means which restricts any separation of the air bag lid. CONSTITUTION:The rear end side of an air bag unit, namely, an opening 11 of an instrument panel 6 are closed each by an upper lid 18 and a lower lid 19 rotatable for opening each as a cover member. In this case, a mounting structure of an assembly body 21 into the instrument panel 6 is made up of installing a lid assembling guide means 14 in space between respective lids 18, 19 and a casing 14 as a body side member. Then, the assembly body 21 is inserted into the opening 11, and a first engaged part 28 and a second engaged part 29 of a support bracket 20 are engaged with an engaged hole 36 and an engaged tongue piece 37 of a base plate 35 so as to be dropped in, respectively. After assembly, any slide motion of the air bag lid is regulated by a lock means 42.</p> |
