PURPOSE: A method for operating an ADS(Address Display period Separation) type PDP(Plasma Display Panel) is provided to remove a discharge omission phenomena by providing a space charge into a discharge cell. CONSTITUTION: A method for operating an ASD(Address Display period Separation) type PDP comprises the steps of: applying an address pulse to an X electrode, applying a sustain pulse to a Z electrode, and removing a wall charge formed on a Y electrode and the Z electrode; applying a scan pulse to the Y electrode, applying a pulse to the z electrode, performing a pre-discharge during a predetermined time, applying the address pulse to the X electrode, generating a light discharge between the X electrode and the Y electrode, and forming the wall charge within a discharge cell; and the sustain pulse to the X and the Y electrodes and sustaining the wall charge. |
