<p>A method for producing a manganese-zinc ferrite core which comprises forming manganese-zinc ferrite into a predetermined core shape, firing the resultant core in a firing atmosphere having an oxygen content adjusted with carbon dioxide and steam, and then subjecting the fired product to a rapid cooling at a rate of 350 to 850°C/hr; and a manganese-zinc ferrite core produced by using the method. This method can be used for producing a manganese-zinc ferrite core having a high surface electric resistance and also a low magnetic core loss, without introduction of nitrogen gas and with firing for a short time.</p> |
