PURPOSE: A system for operating a turn signal of a vehicle is provided to promptly inform of the traveling direction of a vehicle to the driver of a following vehicle by automatically operating a turn signal when the driver of the preceding vehicle turns a steering wheel in an angle over a specific degree. CONSTITUTION: A system for operating a turn signal of a vehicle comprises a battery(1) for supplying currents to the electric devices of a vehicle, turn signals(3,5) for indicating the traveling direction of a vehicle, and a power supply unit for selectively supplying power to the left and right turn signals. If the driver of a vehicle rapidly turns a steering wheel in an angle over a specific degree, a switching member(17) combined to the lower end of the steering wheel circles along a threaded recess(9) of the power supply unit. The current supplied from the battery is sequentially applied to a first electrode(11), the switching member, electrodes(13,15), and the turn signals. Therefore, the turn signals are operated selectively.
