FILTER CARTRIDGE

A cylindrical filter cartridge comprising a porous cylindrical body and, being wound round the body in the manner of a twill, a long strip of a non-woven fabric which comprises thermoplastic and continuous fibers and has at least some of points of intersection of fibers being adhered. The present invention has allowed the preparation of a filter cartridge which is excellent in the passage of a liquid, the useful life of a filter, the stability in filtration effect, and the like. It is particularly preferred that the thermoplastic and continuous fiber constituting the non-woven fabric is a composite fiber having hot adhesion property which comprises a resin having a low melting point and that having a high melting point, the difference in melting point between the resins being 10 DEG C or more.
