A motion activated illuminated reflective apparatus (10) having all of it's electrical components mounted within a housing (12) that is secured to a rotatable object. Those components include a light source (22), an electrical power source (14), a first switch (16) activated by intermittent motion of the housing and a second switch (18) activated by centrifugal forces caused by rotation of the rotatable object. The illuminated apparatus (10) also includes a timer (20) which is operably connected relative to the first switch (16) and the second switch (18) such that activation of either the first switch (16) or the second switch (18) initiates the timing cycle of the timer (20) and enables the flow of electricity from the power source (14) to the light source (22). The light source (22) can include an electro luminescent strip (40) or light emitting diodes (22). |
