A seat for use in row seating has a main seat unit (2), defining a seat back (4) and a primary seat portion in the form of a tongue (6) projecting forwardly from the seat back and dimensioned to support the pelvis of a user, and a secondary seat portion (8) connected by pivots (10) to the tongue for movement on a laterally extending axis between a generally horizontal position projecting forwardly and laterally of the tongue support the thighs of a user, and a generally vertical stowed position projecting upwardly of the tongue. Preferably the seat is supported through the tongue from a support bracket (32), and arms (14) of the seat are independently supported. The seat preferably has a hollow headrest (50) which may house an electronic module (52) including a rearward facing liquid crystal screen (56).
