The two-pole temperature limiter can be applied in electric heating appliances, in particular in residential household appliances. When the upper limit of a preset temperature is reached the electric power supply to the electric heating appliances is discontinued on both wires of the electric mains. Furthermore the safe operation of the appliance is not affected and it is protected from destruction to the excessive temperatures and pressure. The two-pole temperature limiter consists of a fixing plate (1), rivet (2), supporting body (3), bimetal plate (4), adjustment screw (5), cover (6), axle (7), spring contact plate with a boss (8), terminal (9) with screw (10), spring contact plate with boss (11), terminal (12) with a screw (13), spring contact plate with boss (14), terminal (15) with a screw (16) spring contact plate with boss (17) and terminal (18) with a screw (19). 1 claim, 1 figure
