<p>The system for cleaning items by using washing baskets (7) comprises a stripping station (A), a tunnel washer (2) and, on the clean side, a station (B) for storing and unpacking items from the washing baskets, as well as a washing basket return equipment comprising two separate return conveyors (8, 9), one (9) arranged above and the other (8) arranged underneath a table (10) in station (B) and leading back to the top of the stripping station (A).
