The air conditioning system has an air conditioning housing defining an air throughput, a dividing element for the air flow, a compressor (10), a liquefier (14), a first pressure reduction unit (16), a coolant channel, a second pressure reduction unit (21a), a valve unit (13,21) and a control unit. The valve unit changes over a connection between a coolant outlet side of the compressor and a coolant inlet side of the liquefier and a connection between the compressor's coolant outlet side and a hot gas bypass passage's (20) coolant inlet side. The control unit sets or selects a double level flow mode during heating mode.
