Surface modified fillers, process for its preparation and its use

Surface-modified filler for e.g. adhesive or paint is prepared using solution containing organosiloxane that is water-soluble and contains OH groups, an amino-functional group(s) and optionally a further functional group(s) from alkyl, haloalkyl, alkenyl, glycide ether alkyl or (meth)acryloxy alkyl. A surface-modified filler is prepared by: (i) mixing a filler with water; (ii) adding a water-based composition containing an organosiloxane that is water-soluble and contains OH groups, an amino-functional group(s) and optionally a further functional group(s) from alkyl, haloalkyl, alkenyl, glycide ether alkyl or (meth)acryloxy alkyl; and (iii) drying the obtained mixture. Independent claims are included for the obtained compounds based on ethylene/vinyl acetate (EVA) and the above surface-modified filler and the preparation of the filler by mixing the filler with water, reacting with a water-based composition containing organosiloxane and drying.
