[Also in Division B7] A brake disc 4 on each drive shaft extending from a gear-box 3 is braked by friction member 6 carried by plates 7 slidable in a brake frame 5 by hydraulic or pneumatic pistons 9. The brake frame 5 is formed of two similar elements 5a, 5b connected by bolts 19. One frame element 5b is rigidly attached to a portion of the gear-box 3 by bolts 20 and is suspended from a cross-member 14 through rubber bushes 24 which form resilient supports for the gearbox 3 and attached engine. |
