A method of installing scaffolding at a vertically extending work-face S. Includes supporting a scaffolding assembly 1, including at least one platform 3 coupled to a carrying cable means CI and CO, by an upper support means 2. Carrying cable means are located adjacent the side of the work-face by means of at least one holding device 5 attached to the work-face by self-contained force means e.g a magnet or vacuum device and without adaption of the work-face. Also disclosed is a support device 2 provided for this scaffolding assembly. |
