PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the reliability of lights and to reduce costs for operation and maintenance by calculating the resistance of the lights by measuring a current flowing through the lights and a voltage produced across the lights, and forecasting the remaining life of the lights from the change in the resistance with the passage of time. SOLUTION: A plurality (about 10 to 200) of lights 1 disposed along passages of aircraft, rubber transformers 3, slave stations 2, a feeding device 6 for supplying power of commercial frequency (50/60 Hz) to the plurality of lights 1, and a master station 4, are connected by a feeder 5 so as to form a loop, signal's of a high frequency (of the order of kilo hertz) is superimposed on the feeder 5, signals are transmitted/ received between the slave stations 2 and the master station 4, and thereby wire break detection and on/off control of the lights are performed. A centralized control device 8 for concentrically processing control information from a plurality of master stations 4 and an operation desk 9 are provided. Based on data of a change with the passage of time in the value of filament resistance of the lights 1, resistance is estimated for wire break and stored in a memory part, The frequency of the signals is adapted to have a value that can be transmitted/received by all the slave stations and master station, and the reliability of transmission/reception is ensured not affected by installation environments or weather conditions.
|
