PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light projecting pointer capable of a light emitting display when a portable phone receives a phone call in addition to a standard spot pointing function. SOLUTION: A battery set 20, a light source generating circuit 30, and a light source 40 are provided in a housing 10. The light source 40 projects light outward from the front end of the housing 10. A light switch button 50 provided on the housing 10 controls the turning on/off of the light source 40. A housing 10 contains a display signal generating circuit 60. A trigger circuit 65 provided with a display signal generating circuit 30 is connected in parallel to the light switch button 50. When a portable phone receives a phone call, the light source 40 is turned on through the trigger circuit 65 to project light. A light transmission body 14 is threadedly provided on the housing 10 at the front end of the light source 40. This constitution provides a display function when the portable phone receives a phone call, and controlling and entertainment effects in addition to a general pointing function.
