PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To cool a dynamo-electric machine with high efficiency, by putting the structure of the heat conductive pipe constituting a heat exchanger in such constitution as to change the flow. SOLUTION: A cooling fan 5 attached to a rotor 3 is arranged so as to lead cooling wind to the interior of a dynamo-electric machine and cool a rotor 8 and a stator 9 by rotating together with a rotor 3, and the core of the rotor 8 and the stator 9 is made of a laminate for reduction of loss. Then, the cooling wind circulates within the dynamo-electric machine, being cooled by the outside air, by means of outside air cooling fans 1, in a heat-exchanger 10 constituted of many pieces of heat conductive pipes, but fins 14 are installed, in such direction that the air flows in opposite direction from a partition plate 12, at the external surface of the heat conductive pipe 11 of the heat exchanger on rear flow side. Hereby, the circulating air exchanges its heat with the outside cooling air within the heat conductive pipe without air being biased, drawing a streamline so that it may part from the partition plate, so it can raise the cooling performance of the dynamo-electric machine at large.
