PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an image display device which can notify a user of information for taking proper measures against the breakage of an image file if the image file is logically broken. SOLUTION: Through an image file managing process of the image display device, it is decided whether or not a management part 19 and a data part 20 of the image file 18 have a broken part respectively, a display pattern showing an image wherein the broken part of the image file 18 can be specified is set corresponding to the detection result, and the image is displayed on a display 14. The display pattern corresponding to the detection result is selected out of a display pattern 31 when the image file 18 is normal, a display pattern 32 when the data part 20 has a broken part, a display pattern 33 when the management part 19 has a broken part, and a display pattern 34 when the management part 19 and data part 20 have broken parts respectively.
