PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a charging method of an instantaneous drop compensating device, capable of reduction in manufacturing cost and device weight. SOLUTION: In an instantaneous voltage drop compensation device, which compensates load voltage before instantaneous voltage drop by the charging voltage of an electrolytic capacitor 3 serving as the DC energy storage part of an inverter 4, if instantaneous voltage drop occurs in a commercial power source 2 which supplies power to a load 1 connected to a power supply system, an inverter protection thyristor 9 fitted between the inverter and the power supply system is phase-controlled so as to provide initial charging for the electrolytic capacitor 3 of the inverter 4. |
