PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic vending machine capable of purchasing media data after contents of the media data to be purchased is actually viewed. SOLUTION: Programs 2-4 which a broadcasting station holds and introduction pictures 2'-4' introducing the programs are stored in a data-base 2 and the introduction pictures 2'-4' are displayed on this automatic vending machine 5. When contents of the introduction picture is matched with the contents of the programs 2-4 which a user desires, the automatic vending machine 5 takes in the content from the database 1 and records the contents of the programs 2-4 in a storage medium, then sells them.
