PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an image data correction conversion circuit that corrects skew in terms of software and to obtain the skew quantity correction method. SOLUTION: A controller 11 receives image data sent from a host and stores the image data of a prescribed line to a line buffer 10. A CPU 8 measures a skew quantity of the image data stored in the line buffer 10 to calculate a block number to divide the image data based on the skew quantity. The image data received by the line buffer 10, where the skew quantity is corrected, are selected and given to a multiplexer 9. A gate array 1 applies correction conversion to the image data based on an arithmetic data of the CPU 8 and outputs corrected image data. Since the skew quantity can be corrected by a software procedure, the skew correction of the image forming device is facilitated and the manufacture process of the image forming device can be simplified.
