PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a substrate which can provide an identical height or desired heights for various types of patterns provided thereon, and also a method for manufacturing the substrate. SOLUTION: A flexible substrate 20-1 includes a film 21-1 and various types of patterns 23-1, 24-1, 25-1, 26-1 and 27-1 formed on the film. The film 21-1 is deformed so that the patterns 23-1, 24-1, 25-1, 26-1 and 27-1 have an identical surface height, under which condition a mold resin 30-1 is mounted on a rear side of the flexible substrate 20-1.
