PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disk device on which information is stably recorded and/or reproduced from it even though a shock is applied to the device and no damage is produced on the signal recording surface of an information recording medium. SOLUTION: The device is used to record and/or reproduce information on a disk shaped information recording medium 5. A vibration preventing member 31 is provided to the device to prevent the vibration of the medium 5 caused by a shock by letting an outer peripheral section 5a of the medium 5 abut against the member 31. Thus, even though a shock is applied to the device and the medium 5 vibrates, no damage is induced on the medium.
