PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a user to customize the configuration of a third party application under installation by selecting a plurality of components of application of the third party to be installed and then installing these selected components. SOLUTION: An installation system 50 serves as a software program that interacts with the programs which are resident in a processor 21, a storage 22 and a memory 31. When the user input is detected, the system 50 decides whether the user has selected the standard installation or not and executes the component of a task manager which installs all components of a list of task managers. Thus, the application software of a third party is installed in a computer system by selecting a plurality of components and installing these components.
