PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the cost of development and to improve tracing performance. SOLUTION: In the tracing method, a certain processor 10-i out of plural processors constituting a multiprocessor system is driven as a tracer. Trace information flowing on a global bus 12 by the operation of plural processors 10-j other than the proces-sor 10-i acting as a tracer is entered into a bus bridge 120-i by a tracer circuit in the processor 10-i, and stored in a CTAG RAM connected to the bus bridge 120-i through a CTAG interface in the bus bridge 120-i to sample the trace information.
