PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coloring material sensitizing element and a battery with high durability by executing under a specified environment a process for adsorbing a coloring material in semiconductor fine particles, and/or a process for assembling a photoelectric conversion element with a conductive supporter having a coloring material adsorbing semiconductor fine particle layer. SOLUTION: Processes are executed under environment having a dew point of 0 deg.C or less. A coloring material sensitized photoelectric element has a conductive supporter, a semiconductor fine particle-containing layer into which a coloring material applied to the conductive supporter is adsorbed, a charge transfer layer and a counter electrode, and the moisture content in the photoelectric element is 10,000 ppm or less, and the moisture content in the charge transfer layer is 10,000 ppm. Preferably, the moisture content in a coloring material solution in a process for adsorbing the coloring material in the semiconductor fine particle-containing layer is 10,000 ppm or less, the coloring material is a ruthenium complex or polymethine, and the semiconductor fine particle is titanium dioxide fine particle to be used for a photoelectric conversion element and the photoelectric conversion element is applied to a photo electrochemical battery. |
