SYSTEM PROCESSING PROGRAM AND SYSTEM TIMING INFORMATION OBTAINED FROM MANY BROADCAST SOURCES

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To use system timing information from many broadcast sources by using the time clock obtained from the current time reference mark generated by a specific broadcast source at the start of a processing function scheduled for the program from the specific broadcasting station. SOLUTION: In program recording and view mode, a controller 60 obtains a time clock by using STT correction data including an offset value and a sunshine saving time mark together with the acquired STT time reference mark. The obtained time clock is corrected by using the STT correction data. In program playback mode, the controller 60 uses an internal system clock synchronized with the operation of a storage device 90 so as to start reproducing a movie. The controller 60 updates the clock time which is held and stored inside with the previously obtained time clock information. Then the controller 60 starts processing a desired program in an established and scheduled processing time.
