PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a DC motor and a DC generator, from which commutators, brushes and position detectors are eliminated. SOLUTION: This machine is constituted such that first and second armature coils 2a and 3a are fixed to an outer housing 8 so as to face the outer circumferential surfaces of first and second rotors 1a and 1b which have N-poles and S-poles on the outer circumferential surfaces, and if DC currents are applied to the first and second armature coils 2a and 3a to drive the first and second rotors 1a and 1b, the machine is used as a DC motor, if the first and second rotors 1a and 1b are driven and rotated to generate induced DC outputs in the first and second armature coils 2a and 3a, and the machine is used as a generator. |
