PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric connector capable of pressing an FPC board easily to a base board, assuring good follow-up performance of the FPC board, allowing easy checking of soldered parts and easy replacement of FPC board, and free from risk to generate poor workmanship in the connection. SOLUTION: An electric connector 1 is composed of a first connector consisting of a plate and electric contact provided on the plate, a housing 16 having a fit-in hole 36 for the first connector, a second connector fitted removably to the first connector and having contacting piece on an FPC board 24, and a block 26 where the second connector is mounted. On both sides where the FPC board 24 is protruding, the housing 16 is furnished with projections 18 to press the FPC board 24 toward a base board 40, and a bit insert as a means to generate engagement with the housing 16 is installed on the block 26. |
