PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To a portable communication device whose main body is constituted of casings separated into plural pieces and an attachable/detachable connector to structurally and electrically connect the separated casings and is selectable in the kind and shape of the casing suitable for a purpose. SOLUTION: A portable telephone set main body is separated into an upper casing 1a and a lower casing 1b, the upper casing 1a and the lower casing 1b are joined only by a connector. A speech receiving part and a display part are provided on the front surface of the upper casing 1a, a key operation part and a speech transmitting part are provided on the front surface of the lower casing 1b. Connector connecting parts 8a, 8b exist on circuit boards of the upper casing 1a and the lower casing 1b and to which a connecting part of the connector 2 is connected. Slits to be engaged in an upper casing connecting part 2a and a lower casing connecting 2b exist at the upper casing 1a and the lower casing 1b, since the shape and specification of the connecting parts are unified, the kind and shape of the casing suitable for the purpose are optionally selected and connected. |
