METHOD FOR CONNECTING NODE, NODE AND NETWORK

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the maintenance property and reliability of nodes and a network by making each adjacent node change transmission routes for a unit signal in a self-node in accordance with a cable connection state. SOLUTION: The recognition of a self-position by a node works with connection selection by a switching part in the corresponding node. For instance, when a node is added to a network 20 by connecting a new node 33 to the further right side of a node 23 located at a right end position by using the same cable 30C as cables 30A and 30B, the node 23 becomes a node at the middle position and the new node 33 becomes a node at the right end position. Communication between terminals housed by nodes 21 to 23 is not influenced at all before and after the addition is made. Each node has only to correspond to a change occurring at a place adjacent to the self on the network, and the detection is also simple and is carried out only by detecting the connection and disconnection of a cable.
