PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain DMA transfer control between a memory and a periphery circuit by at least two DMA control circuits, whose DMA transfer configurations are different. SOLUTION: This DMA controller controls DMA transfer between a DRAM 203 and a periphery circuit in a circuit equipped with a CPU, memory, and periphery circuit. In this case, this device is provided with a DMA controller(DMAC) 311 for operating DMA transfer in the background between the DRAM 203 and the periphery circuit in response to a DMA request from the periphery circuit, and a DMAC 321 for operating normal DMA transfer between the DRAM 203 and the periphery circuit in response to a DMA request from the periphery circuit.
