SYNCHRONIZATION DETECTOR, ITS METHOD AND REPRODUCING DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely obtain synchronization even on the occurrence of an error of a synchronization pattern on the way of a sector. SOLUTION: In the case that no synchronization is detected, an inertia circuit 18 generates a synchronization pulse based on synchronization detection information fed from a SYNC RAM 17. An output control circuit 20 outputs data of a delay line 19 based on the synchronization pulse and counts the number of times of the synchronization pulses. When the count reached a prescribed number or over, a Fab-SYNC is outputted. When receiving both the Fab-SYNC and a pulse at synchronization detection, a phase control circuit 16 generates a write address of the synchronization detection information to a SYNC RAM 17 so that the synchronization detection information is written in an address of the SYNC RAM 17 where the inertia circuit 18 generates the synchronization pulse in tracing forward by a prescribed amount.
